South Africa? As in the south of the entire continent?

We wish! South Africa is a beautiful diverse country located on the southern most tip of the African continent. It borders Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe inland and the Indian and Atlantic oceans across its coast.

South Africa is huge! Are we going to visit it all?

As much as we want to explore the entire country, we will be focusing on two main
areas; Cape Town and the Garden Route. Don’t forget that this is also a road trip so we will be driving most of the time, starting with a three day exploration of Cape Town with its activities then moving along the Garden Route up to Knysna, and back.

I’m going solo on this group trip. Is that possible?

You’d be surprised on how many people register without knowing anyone on the trip! It’s a perfect way to build new networks that can turn into lifetime friendships!
The default is double occupancy, so you will be sharing a room with someone else. If you prefer not to, we can’t promise the availability of single occupancy as it depends on the destination, but make sure to notify the team of your preference! Some extra charges may apply.

Do you cater for any dietary restrictions?

Yes, we do try to accommodate any dietary restrictions that you might have. Just make sure you let the guide know in advance!

Do I need a visa to enter South Africa?

Depending on your nationality, you will most probably have to apply for a Visa for South Africa, it’s recommended to apply at least 8 weeks prior to the trip date.
Bahraini’s must apply for a visa through the South African Embassy in Riyadh. If you require a dummy booking for the accommodation, please inform us.
Saudis and Emirates can enter South Africa with an online e-visa. Any other nationality, we will be more than happy to help you with the requirements.

I’m on a budget and can only go on one vacation this year! Why South Africa?

Diverse in culture, activities, and landscapes, it’s amazing how you can tick many boxes in just one country. This has been a favorite among many first-time explorers where you get to experience a lot of activities in small doses and figure out if its just your cup of tea.

Do I need any vaccines?

It is always recommended that you pass by your local health center and inquire about the necessary vaccines for your trip. As a requirement to enter the country, you won’t be required to present proof of any vaccinations.
You might get recommendations that include Hepatitis A and B, Typhoid, Yellow Fever, and Rabies. Keep in mind that suggestions may vary based on your country and specific health situation at those times, and they might not be needed as we will be visiting Cape Town and the Garden Route only.

Do I need to be fit to join the trip?

Yes! South Africa is a fast-moving paced trip with one scheduled day hike in Table Mountain. Although its only for a day, you will be going uphill almost the entire time, so let’s focus on our fitness a bit before the trip.
Our days are known for being on our feet a lot so it’s always recommended to have a minimum fitness level.

Are there any specific clothes required for the activities that we will do?

A packing list will be sent once you confirm you register, and it will include the type of attire you need for the activities. It’s mostly regular sports attire suitable for hiking, walking, paragliding, etc. Weather will be somewhat cold so make sure you have the right layers.

Do I have to Bungee Jump?

When will you ever have the opportunity to jump off the longest bridge bungee jump in the world? And with an amazing and supportive group such as this?!
We do have the option of not participating but we will always recommend that you try it. This experience can’t be compared to any other activity you have ever tried or will try in the future!

Will we meet a lot of people? Do I need to bring gifts?

The people in South Africa are as diverse as they are kind. You will be meeting many people along the way and they will tend to go out of their way to help you. Consider bringing along small gifts and/or gratuities for the wonderful people who make your accommodation and experiences extra special. It’s a thoughtful way to show appreciation and share a bit of kindness!

Who do I talk to once I land in Cape Town?

One of our guides will either be waiting for you or have the transportation arranged from the airport to the hotel for check in.
Make sure you share your ticket with the team as soon as its booked!

Since it’s a road trip, how long will be on the road each day?

While in Cape Town, the longest drive will be around an hour as most of the activities will be in close proximity. Once we start the Garden Route on the 4th day, our driving hours will be longer, but don’t worry, the views will be amazing and will keep you entertained along the way. Don’t forget your playlist!

Where will I sleep and how often will we be changing our accommodation?

We love to be unique in our accommodation so get ready for a few surprises along the way! It will be a mixture of ideally located hotels, Safari lodges, and luxurious villas and houseboats along the way.
We will be changing our accommodation around 5 times during the trip. So it’s always recommended to pack light and smart!
