Day 1
Arrival day
Touch down Hanoi!
As soon as you arrive, you will be going to the hotel in the famous old quarter of Hanoi to freshen up and get some rest. Starting from the afternoon, you will have a chance to visit many of main attractions in the city witnessing a mixture of old and new architecture, satisfying many taste buds with different food options to choose from, and still have a chance to shop if you need anything for the rest of the trip.
After a day mostly on foot, an early welcome dinner and briefing will be arranged.
Day 2
Hoa La
From the bustling night streets of Hanoi, get ready to feast your eyes with vast areas of greenery from mountains to forests as you are heading to Ninh Binh Province. The first stop will take you back in time with Vietnam’s ancient capital, Hoa Lu, an area rich with historical streets, monuments and stories from past dynasties. You will enjoy a mystical boat ride along the Tam Coc region; have a panoramic view on top of Mua Cave region, where you can also choose to explore the inside of the cave.
You will end the night a bit differently today as you head to the railway station for a back in time experience in an overnight train stay to Sapa.
Day 3 to 5
Sapa
Stepping off from the overnight train from Hanoi into the beautiful ethnic Sapa, you will be mesmerized by its lush green rice fields and colorful Hmong textiles used in every home. Get ready for a two day trek with a unique homestay in between! You will definitely leave Sapa knowing a lot more about their ethnic groups that you imagined.
Get ready on the 5th day to go back to Hanoi with another overnight train experience.
Day 6 to 8
Halong Bay
After the two-day trek between rice fields, a mini seascape in a 5 star cruise will set sail along emerald free waters among two thousand islands and islets made from karst limestone in Halong Bay, a UNISECO Heritage site. As you sail among these natural sky scrapers, you will get a chance to explore century old caves along the way, with kayaking and snorkeling activities every day.
On the 8th day, we will head back to Hanoi to spend the last night in the city.
Day 9
Home Sweet Home!
We will head back to Hanoi and spend our last day in the city before flying back home, get ready for a farewell dinner prepared by you! Yes we are having a very unique cooking class experience in one of the most beautiful villas in Hanoi.
