The Seeing Heart
A Wellness Retreat in Ireland
With Rafah Sahab
4th October - 11th October
A Glimpse of the Journey
Stillness beneath the Surface!
In the rush of daily life, we often forget the quiet places inside us—where the heart listens, softens, and remembers.
The Seeing Heart is a spiritual retreat set in the untamed beauty of Ireland. It is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and gently return to yourself and to Allah.
Led by Rafah Sahab, this retreat offers a contemplative journey rooted in psychological insight, traditional wisdom, and the healing rhythms of nature. It is an experience that invites you to reconnect—with the natural world, with others, and most intimately, with yourself and with Allah.
Each day offers space—to walk, to listen, to reflect. There is no pressure to achieve, only an opening to presence.
Ireland’s natural beauty offers far more than a picturesque backdrop, from its open skies, rolling green hills, ancient woodlands, and mist-laced mornings—each one quietly calling the soul to awaken.
This is not a retreat of doing.
It is a space of being.
A return to stillness and beauty.

FAQ
Why Ireland?
Ireland offers a landscape that naturally invites stillness, reflection, and presence. With its rolling hills, ancient woodlands, and open skies, it creates the perfect setting for a retreat centered on beauty and deep inner connection.
What’s Ireland known for?
Ireland is known for its lush green landscapes, dramatic coastlines, ancient stone paths, and a rich tradition of poetry and storytelling. The land itself feels alive—soft, wild, and deeply inviting.
But what truly makes Ireland special is its people. Known for their warmth, humor, and generosity of spirit, the Irish have a way of making you feel both welcomed and at ease—like you’ve returned somewhere familiar, even if it’s your first time.
It’s a place where quiet beauty, deep history, and heartfelt connection come together.
Where will I be staying?
You’ll be staying in a peaceful countryside retreat home—either a cozy manor or a quiet guesthouse tucked in nature. Spaces are selected for their warmth, comfort, and ability to support deep rest and reflection, so yes we will be away from the city.
Rooms are shared on a twin basis, with single occupancy available at an extra cost.
Do I need to be fit?
No special level of fitness is required.
The retreat includes gentle walks, light movement, and slow-paced activities. Everything is designed to be accessible, and you are always welcome to participate in a way that feels right for your body.
We will require the mental flexibility and fitness to welcome and open our minds and hearts to the reflections sessions during the trip.
How will we be moving around?
All ground transportation is included. You’ll be transferred from the airport and between retreat locations in a private group vehicle, so you can relax and enjoy the journey without needing to manage logistics.
I’m going solo on this group trip. Is that possible?
You’d be surprised on how many people register without knowing anyone on the trip! It’s a perfect way to build new networks that can turn into lifetime friendships!
The default is double occupancy, so you will be sharing a room with someone else. If you prefer not to, we can’t promise the availability of single occupancy as it depends on the destination, but make sure to notify the team of your preference! Some extra charges may apply.
Do you cater for any dietary restrictions?
Yes, we do try to accommodate any dietary restrictions that you might have. Just make sure you let the guide know in advance!
Do I need a visa to travel to Ireland?
United Arab Emirates (UAE): Citizens of the UAE do not require a visa to enter Ireland for short stays (up to 90 days).
Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar: Citizens of these countries do require a visa to enter Ireland.
Do I need to prepare for this retreat?
No intensive preparation is needed, but coming with an open heart makes all the difference.
We recommend creating some space—mentally and emotionally—before the retreat. This might look like journaling, setting an intention, or simply slowing down your pace in the days leading up to the trip.
Closer to the date, we’ll send a packing list with suggested items—both physical and reflective—to help you arrive feeling grounded and ready.
This is a retreat designed to meet you where you are.
Is this retreat only for people who are religious or spiritual?
Not at all.
While the retreat is rooted in Islamic values and guided by reflections from the Qur’an, it’s not limited to those who consider themselves strictly religious or spiritual.
This experience is designed to be open, gentle, and reflective—welcoming anyone who feels drawn to slowing down, connecting with nature, and exploring meaning with intention.
You don’t need to have a certain level of knowledge or practice.
Will there be workshops every day? How long do they usually last?
Yes, most days include a core session or guided reflection, but the pace is spacious and intentionally gentle.
Sessions typically last 2 to 4 hours, depending on the day’s focus. These may include teachings, group reflection, embodied practices, or creative expression.
Each day is thoughtfully designed to balance depth and rest—with time for nature, quiet, and personal integration. It’s not about doing more, but about being present with what matters.
What are the workshops like?
Workshops are designed to feel spacious, grounding, and real.
They blend gentle reflection, personal journaling, storytelling, and open conversation—all within a warm and supportive group setting.
There’s no pressure to perform or share more than you’re ready for. These sessions are about presence, not perfection—always led with heart, never overwhelming.
What language will the workshops be in?
The workshops will be held mostly in Arabic.
A basic understanding of Arabic is needed to fully engage with the reflections, discussions, and group activities. While the atmosphere is welcoming and supportive, the content is designed to flow naturally in Arabic (with some English in between).
Are there private sessions, or is everything done in a group?
The retreat is primarily group-based, created for shared reflection, connection, and the power of being witnessed in community.
While there are no one-on-one sessions during the retreat, private sessions with Rafah can be arranged separately afterward if you’d like to continue the work in a more personal setting.
What age group is this retreat meant for?
This is an adult retreat, open to women from their early 20s and up. We welcome a diverse, intergenerational group—different life stages, stories, and perspectives all add to the richness of the space.
I’ve been going through a tough time emotionally— is this retreat for me?
While this retreat is not a form of therapy, it is a space that gently holds emotion, stillness, and inner shifts.
If you’re feeling tender, overwhelmed, or simply in need of pause, this space may offer the nourishment and clarity you’re looking for.
Come as you are—there’s room for all of you here.
What might I take away from this retreat?
This retreat isn’t about reaching a goal—it’s about returning to yourself.
What you take away will be personal. For some, it may be a sense of inner calm. For others, a renewed connection to faith, clarity around a life transition, or a quiet shift in how they move through the world.
You may leave with:
-
A deeper awareness of your inner world
-
A stronger sense of connection—to nature, to Allah, and to yourself
-
A language for what you’ve been holding or searching for
-
Gentle tools to carry forward into your daily life
The impact often unfolds gradually, long after the retreat ends.
Why choose this retreat over others?
There are many retreats—but this one is different by design.
It’s rooted in Islamic tradition, held in Arabic, and led with care by a psychotherapist who integrates spirituality, psychology, and deep listening.
This isn’t a retreat of performance or pressure. It’s a soft space for reflection, remembrance, and realignment. The focus is not on escape, but on return—to what is sacred, still, and already within you.
If you’re looking for something grounded, meaningful, and quietly transformative—this is for you.
What kind of clothes will I need to pack?
A full packing list will be shared after registration, but here’s a general idea of what to bring:
Expect mild but changeable weather in Ireland at the end of August and early September—cool mornings, potential rain, and sunny spells all in one day. We recommend layered clothing, a waterproof jacket, comfortable walking shoes, and something warm for evenings.
Will I have time alone?
Yes. Spaciousness is part of the retreat design. While there are group sessions and shared moments, there is also time carved out daily for rest, journaling, and quiet solo walks in nature.
You are always encouraged to listen to your needs, especially after each reflection session.
Is this retreat only for Muslim women?
The retreat is rooted in Islamic tradition, drawing from the Qur’an and the concept of rahma (mercy).
It is open to any woman who feels connected to these values and is comfortable in a space held in Arabic and within an Islamic framework.
Will I have access to Wi-Fi or phone signal?
We recommend disconnecting as much as possible to fully immerse in the experience. That said, you’ll have access to phone signal and limited Wi-Fi for essential use, but we encourage digital minimalism during the retreat.
