Wanaka

We’ll be departing Queenstown early today and head for the thrill of Wanaka.

Once we reach Wanaka lake , get your mental game on as we start our via Ferrata, Walk, climb, scramble or pull yourself up into a very exciting challenge of reaching to the top of the waterfalls!

After a crazy morning we will have our lunch in a beautiful lavender farm, where you can relax and enjoy all shades of purple.

Frans JosiF Glaziers

Today is all about fun and icy glaciers beauty – you can hike around it, on it and even through it!

We will be taking a helicopter ride up to the glaciers, then start our hiking trail.

This is one of New Zealand’s best hiking trails, you’ll learn about the history and nature of the Franz Josef Glacier hike,  during the three hours trail then you can unwind and relax at Glaciers Hot Pools!

Lake Pukaki & Mount cook National Park

From one lake to another, we will take the morning to enjoy Lake wanaka, before making our way toward the blue waters of Lake Pukaki, on our way we will stop by  Peter’s Lookout where you will have the perfect view of the narrow roads leading right up to Mount Cook with the glistening blue lake of Lake Pukaki (You have most probably seen this in your explorer many times)

The next day we will hike the hooker valley track around Mount Cook, It’s quite a long and open track but with very little incline, and flat gravel paths or paved boardwalks. It’s one of the easiest tracks with snowcapped mountains around you, In the afternoon we will head to Lake Tekapo which is part of a UNESCO Dark Sky Reserve, making it the perfect spot for stargazing, so that will be our program all night!

Kaikoura

Our last stop in the South Island will be in the beautiful village of Kaikoura, home for a local seal colony, found everywhere while you coast walks by the pacific ocean,

South to North –  WELLINGTON

After a week on the South Island, it’s time to wave goodbye to the hikes and adrenaline, and say hello to culture and wildlife.

We will spend the morning travelling between the South & North Island on a local ferry that takes around three hours then we will  drive to Wellington.

Will spend our last day in the north wandering around the downtown area, peeking into its art galleries, visiting cultural museums and chasing sunset in Mount Victoria lookout.

Lake Taupo & Tongariro Alpine

Get ready for one of NZ best day hikes “Tongariro Alpine Crossing “,this journey will take you across volcanic landscapes. Lava flows, emerald-colored lakes, and many panoramic views!

After 6 – 7 hours of hiking , we will catch the sunrise by the lake, Make sure to stretch your legs and back before you hop back to another adventure!

Rotorua

Today we will continue to the cultural and geological heart of the North Island and the perfect place to experience and learn about Māori culture and the natural thermals!

As the sun sets over the Bay of Plenty we will take a kayak into the hidden glow worm caves around the Rotorua Caves , get ready to marvel at the clusters of glowing bugs and the way they light up these underground rock formations.

Matamata

This morning will be filled with activities, we are heading to the farming community of Matamata. You may not recognize the town name, but you probably are familiar with its top attraction: Hobbiton? Yes we are taking a tour there, we will spend the afternoon being guided around the 12-acre lord of the rings movie set, taking in all the hobbit-y details and hearing stories about filming.

Auckland – Departure

After spending the last night in Auckland,  we will have a farewell dinner, before we head home.

You will have the last day as a free time for any last minute shopping in the city.
