FAQ

Are Azores and Portugal two different countries?

No, the Azores islands are part of Portugal. The island is an autonomous region located in the North Atlantic Ocean. This means that while the Azores has its own regional government and some degree of legislative power, it is still ultimately part of Portugal as a whole.

What’s Azores known for?

Nestled in the North Atlantic, the Azores Island is a gem known for its captivating natural beauty and diverse landscapes. With enchanting natural volcanic craters and soothing hot springs, complemented by lush greenery that is like nowhere else in the world.

How much cash do I need?

The daily program, including activities, transportation and breakfast is included in the package.

For other daily expenses, you will need to cater for lunch and dinner meals. The average mid-range restaurant meal is around 15 to 30 euros.

How’s the weather like?

September in the Azores usually has a pleasant weather, with daytime temperatures range from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius, and evenings bring a cool, comfy feel. With lots of sunshine and long daylight hours, it’s the perfect setup for outdoor adventures.

It’s a good idea to have a light waterproof jacket with you, just in case the nights get a bit chilly, or a surprise rain shower comes your way. Despite potential temperature differences between the islands, August usually brings great weather, allowing you to fully soak in the beauty of the Azores and indulge in fun swimming and water activities.
