Trip Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Lisbon
Hello Portugal!
Arriving at the tip of Europe must have been a long way from home! After a quick welcome from our team, you will have time to rest and unwind.
We will catch the first glimpse of Portugal golden hours as we enjoy the breeze at MAAT famous rooftop during sunset before heading to our welcome dinner.
Day 2 & 3
Fly to São Miguel Island
Taking a short flight to São Miguel Island, we will check into the hotel then start discovering the island from the west side for the coming two days.
Our first stop will be Lagoa das Sete Cidades, the most well-known postcard of the Azores!
Get ready to hike between the twin lakes and volcanic craters, loads of eye- catching views over a series of lagoons and flowers. After that we will visit Ponta da Ferraria, a cove surrounded by lava rock cliffs. You will get a chance to swim in a mix of cold & hot ocean waves!
Day 4
Vila Franca & Gorreana Tea Plantation
Ready for crystal clear waters?
Our day will be spent discovering the beauty of this island through its waters! As you get on the kayak, you will be touring around high cliffs, islets, and small caves in Vila Franca. You will also have the chance to swim and snorkel in the area.
In the afternoon it’s time to visit the only tea estate in the whole Europe, lots of tea tasting for the day!
Day 5
Ponta Delgada & Lagoa Do Fogoa
From Ponta Delgada colorful streets to Lagoa Do Fogoa volcanix lake, today will be full of stunning scenery, vibrant colors, and feelings of tranquility.
You will have the chance to visit one of the pineapple plantations and discover the story behind the commercial exploitation of this fruit, which is very popular in the Azores.
If weather permits, a whale watching experience will be waiting for you in the Atlantic Ocean.
Day 6 & 7
Furnas & Nordeste
Heading to Furnas Valley, the coming two days will take you to the wild eastern part of the island with its different landscape and forest vegetation; a fairytale village where time has definitely stopped still.
Get ready for beautiful hikes & canyoning trails between dreamy waterfalls along the way. You will rappel, cliff jump and have natural slides between canyons in Caldeirões Natural Park.
The next day we will visit the famous Terra Nostra park where you will have the chance to swim in geothermal baths before taking a late flight back to Lisbon.
Day 8 & 9
Lisbon & Sintra
No trip to Portugal is complete without visiting Sintra, a charming destination best known for its castles, palaces, and natural beauty of surrounding mountains.
Taking the a very early morning train, we will head to Sintra and start with the famous Pena Palace & Park, perched at the top of a mountain. We will then discover the UNISCO heritage downtown and Sintra National palace.
Next day will be your free day for discovering Lisbon at your own pace.
Day 10
Back Home
Time to head back home!
