Terms & Conditions

By booking a trip with us, you will automatically adhere to the terms and conditions outlined below.

The Services

The only services to be included in your package are those found in your trip itinerary.

Deposit Requirement

School or university groups can enroll by registering on the website page. Enrolment is only secured upon the payment of the deposit and accepting the Terms of Agreement.

You are required to pay a deposit of 50% per person upon registration to book your seat. Any bank transfer charges should be incurred by the sender only (a confirmation email will be sent once the payment is received). This deposit is not refundable.

Remaining Payments

Payment of the balance of the trip price will be the following:

          – 50% to be paid 40 days before departure.

Should the traveler fail to pay the remaining amount 40 days before departure, the company reserves the right to cancel the participation of the traveler while withholding the nonrefundable deposit amount.

Your Details

You need to fill out the registration form and send a copy of your passport within the same week of signing these terms & conditions.

Cancellation by the Traveler

If you choose to cancel your booking, cancellation fees will apply. You must give written notice of any request for cancellation.

If you cancel a trip, the maximum cancellation fees, which may be imposed, are as follows:

– 40 days & above – Deposit will be not be refundable. 50% will be refundable.
– 29– 39 days – 40% of the total trip cost will be refundable.
– 15– 28days – 25% of the total trip cost will be refundable.

In case of any emergency cancellations, our refund policy will be assessed case by case and will take into account the above rules.

Cancellation by Trip Organizers

We may cancel the trip at any time before departure due to but not limited to: terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events that prevent us from safely or reasonably conducting the planned itinerary.

If we cancel your tour, you can choose either an alternative departure date (if such a date is made available) or alternatively receive a full refund, between cash and credit notes.

Health Requirements

The Journey Adventures can provide details on mandatory health and fitness requirements; however, we are not medical experts. It is the responsibility of all participants to ensure that they obtain proper and detailed medical advice from their country’s medical authorities at least one month prior to travel for the latest health requirements and recommendations for the destination. It is also the responsibility of participants to make sure they are physically and mentally capable of participating in this trip.

Passport and visas

The passport of participants must be valid for six months and beyond for the duration of their visit. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that he or she are in possession of the correct travel document that permits them to travel for the allocated destination. The Journey Adventures are not responsible if the student or chaperone are refused entry to because they lack the correct travel document.

Flexibility

The itinerary provided for each tour is representative of the types of activities initially booked but you confirm that is understood that the route, schedules, itineraries, amenities and mode of transport may be subject to alteration without prior notice due to local circumstances or events beyond our control.

Change of Itinerary

While we endeavor to operate all tours as described, we reserve the right to change the tour itinerary. At any time, if we make a major change we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible. The definition of a “major change” is one that significantly differs from the nature of the initially planned aspect of the trip.

Authority on Tour

Our expeditions are run by our trip guides. The decision of the program leaders and mountains operation team is final on all matters likely to affect the safety or well-being of any person participating in the program. If you fail to comply with a decision made by our team, or interfere with the wellbeing or mobility of the group, the guides may direct you to leave the expedition immediately, with no right of refund. We may also elect not to carry you on any future tours booked with us. You must at all times comply with the laws, customs and regulations of the visiting country.

Optional Activities

Optional activities are not included in the tour price and are not part of your booking.
You accept that any assistance given by The Journey Adventures guide in arranging optional activities do not render us liable for them in any way. The contract for the provision of that activity will be between you and the activity provider.

Photos and Marketing

We respect the wishes of all our travelers, hence please inform us before your trip of any objections in relation to images/videos of you otherwise you are deemed consent to us to use images/videos of you taken during the trip for advertising and promotional purposes.

Privacy Policy

Any personal information that we collect about you may be used for any purpose associated with the operation of your tour or to send you marketing material in relation to our future trips and special offers. We will otherwise not hand out your personal information to third parties.

Liability

By participating in the trip, each participant must understand that this type of experience, although organized as safely as reasonably possible, might contain risks that come with travel. Each traveler should acknowledge that they take full responsibility for their decision to join this trip. MBSC  and the Journey Adventures are not liable for any incidents and/or accidents that may take place.  Should your trip be cut short or interrupted by any incident or accident, you will only be refunded any amounts of money in relation to unused portions of your travel arrangements to the extent that is possible.

Complaints Policy

The participant is obligated to report any problems or complaints to the trip guide at the Location privately without publicizing it in front of the group. If the participant is dis-satisfied during the trip, they shall notify the leadership team at the location and the relevant supplier of the service in writing by email or phone.

Travel Ethics

Participants must respect the laws and culture of the countries we visit, treat everyone in a dignified, responsible, patient, and tolerant manner, refrain from discrimination or biased treatment of nations and other members in the travel group, and respect individual difference.

Participants must at all times abide by the rules and regulations set out by The Journey Adventures & our tour operators in the home country. If we or our in-country partners find a participant’s behaviour unsatisfactory due to drugs, alcohol, stress, abuse or a medical condition, the participant will be terminated as the use of drugs and alcohol is not allowed at any part of this trip.

 

Having read and understood the contents of the terms and conditions, the institute has accepted and relayed all necessary information relative to the terms and conditions to all participants involved.
